Sermon Recap

Jon Parker| January 9th, 2022 |Mark 2:5

Jesus Sees Our Faith

As Brother Jon Parker continued our study of the book of Mark, he reminded us that serving God requires us to constantly look to make things new. He reviewed the story in Chapter 2 of four friends of a paralyzed man lowering him through the roof of a home where Jesus was preaching. He emphasized that as we put old things under our feet we can expect God to reveal new and exciting plans and purposes for our life. Our prayer is that we would be able to perceive that it IS God and act upon it. Isaiah 43:19

This month we will be starting our study on the book of Mark. Please note the following study schedule to help with your personal preparation for the coming Sunday services:

– 01-16-2022 –

Key verses: Mark 3:13-14 “Jesus went up on a mountainside and called to him those he wanted, and they came to him. He appointed twelve that they might be with him and that he might send them out to preach”

– 01-23-2022 –

Key verses: Mark 4:8, 20 “8 Still other seed fell on good soil. It came up, grew and produced a crop, some multiplying thirty, some sixty, some a hundred times. 20 Others, like seed sown on good soil, hear the word, accept it, and produce a crop—some thirty, some sixty, some a hundred times what was sown.”

– 01-30-2022 –

Key verses: Mark 5:15, 29, 42 “15 When they came to Jesus, they saw the man who had been possessed by the legion of demons, sitting there, dressed and in his right mind; and they were afraid. 29 Immediately her bleeding stopped and she felt in her body that she was freed from her suffering. 42 Immediately the girl stood up and began to walk around (she was twelve years old). At this they were completely astonished.”

Greetings FreeWay Church Family,

There will be some changes that are necessary as we share space with another congregation. Initially, the primary change is that we have moved the service start time to 11:00AM

Additionally, we will continue to utilize basic COVID protocols during the service for the health and safety of the entire FreeWay church family. Please make every effort to adhere to these guidelines:

· If you are feeling sick, please stay home

· If you are not vaccinated, please wear a face covering

· Those that are vaccinated are free to continue wearing face coverings

· Limit social interactions, such as close distances and hugging

· Sanitizer stations and extra masks will be available at each service

We will continue to stream service through Facebook Live and recordings will be posted to the FreeWay website and podcast. Please be patient as we are trying to get those posts caught up and available within a couple of days of Sunday’s service.

I know this is a time of transition for our church. I am so proud of how we have not allowed these changes to affect our service and outpouring of love for one another. This should be the last time we have to change service location and time as we are continuing renovations on our permanent church home in Central.

We will continue our work toward the realization of our vision, understanding that true freedom in Christ begins with service. I am eager to see how God continues to bless His people this New Year!

Now Faith,

Pastor Jeff Davis

FreeWay Benevolence Fund

People throughout our country, local communities, neighborhoods and within our FreeWay family are experiencing unexpected financial challenges. Our church is called by God to help those who are in need—especially those within our family of faith. We are called to celebrate the victories in one another’s lives, but also share in each other’s burdens and hardships.

We have created the FreeWay Benevolence Fund as a way for us to provide assistance to members of our FreeWay Family who are experiencing unexpected challenges, as well as provide a helping hand to those in our communities who are experiencing hardship.

If you would like to give to the FreeWay Benevolence Fund you can do so through our website by clicking on the “Give” button in the top right corner of our webpage. Any money given to the “Outreach” category on the giving page will go into the FreeWay Benevolence Fund.

If you are experiencing challenges and need assistance, please email the church at admin@freewaychurch.cc.
